I’m KimLien Hoang.
For over 11 years, I’ve been actively practicing intermittent fasting (IF), achieving my ideal body weight, and building stronger bones and lean muscle to get rid of my chronic neck and knee pains.
My mission is to help busy parents over 40—especially beginners to intermittent fasting (IF)—unlock the transformative power of IF and achieve similar results with effective, sustainable IF practices.
My Story
I discovered intermittent fasting (IF) during one of the most stressful and challenging times of my life. I was caught in a cycle of fluctuating between sizes 6 and 8, 3-4 sizes over my former size, feeling overly uncomfortable in my own skin.
To make matters worse, my best friend’s engagement party was fast approaching, and I desperately wanted to fit into my favorite size 2 blue dress—a dress that symbolized confidence and joy for me.
The pressure was real but I started IF with high hopes, and quickly stumbled. The first three days were brutal. I’d break my fast with buttery croissants and venti lattes, feeling like I’d failed before I even began. Doubt started to creep in, but deep down, I just knew I couldn’t give up.
On day four, I shifted focus and fully committed to finding the best fasting beverages to help manage cravings during my 18-hour fasting window. I made lifestyle adjustments to integrate this new routine seamlessly.
Daily, I discovered fasting patterns that worked for me and I doubled down. I kept things simple, flexible, and manageable—avoiding extreme restrictions and overeating, while still enjoying my favorite foods during eating windows. This balanced approach really made all the difference!
By day 12, I had dropped nearly 10 pounds—9 pounds and 12 ounces to be exact. As I zipped up that blue dress and caught my reflection in the mirror, I felt unstoppable. It was a magical night celebrating her engagement party.
By the end of my 30-day fasting journey, I had shed over 18 pounds. You might find that surprising, and that's okay! Trust me, when you achieve similar results, you'll share in my excitement.
But this experience was about more than just weight loss—I'll share more on that later. What I truly gained was confidence, control, and a renewed appreciation for what I can accomplish.
